May Updates Coins and Stuff Dungeon City
Basically we are amongst everything right now and as always there is so much stuff to do.
We’ve been looking for music and casting our final main characters; still got the latter to confirm but we are stoked to welcome Music composer Darrell Green as our game music man! we can’t wait to be playing to his sounds.
Do go check out his sound cloud here and follow his twitter 🙂 he is an extremely talented young man and from the snippets we’ve heard so far players will freaking love it- we do!
There is nothing better than having people who are really, really good at what they do.
Knowing we have someone skilled in an area we aren’t (same goes for the actors) not only does it make things a million times less stressful because we can just totally trust their skill but it also drives the project to be better.
Things are going well with our Xbox builds we were super thinking stuff was going to crash but nope…controls work like a dream and no janks apart from one shader problem with spine but can’t have it all! (plus Naz has mostly fixed it now) so thats a massive yay and phew. So far our whole experience with the Id@xbox program has been really, really good.
We really want to show proper combat footage soon and also the areas that are open which I’m probably the most excited about.
There is zooming, rotation for camera work; we weren’t planning on rotation but seeing 3D outweighs our 2D, Naz has done some magic that means our 2D elements
don’t look bad and players can have more of a look about. (meaning I can hide more cheeky notes on the walls)
(forever tree from the Maze)
Anyways back to the massive to do lists 😉
p.s doing this 3D texturing and all the jazz has super changed my normal gaming experience; instead of just enjoying the greatness of Episode Duscae I roamed around looking at textures (and found some janks!) I was like “flip off deadeye I’m looking at these rocks!!”.
